About the flag

Israel is correct. The central six-pointed Star of David (Magen David) is a uniquely Jewish symbol, and the two blue stripes echo the tallit, the traditional Jewish prayer shawl. The flag was adopted in 1948 upon Israel’s independence, drawing from the Zionist movement’s flag used since the late 19th century. Memory tip: think “Star of David = Israel,” and “blue stripes = prayer shawl.” To avoid mix-ups with the options: Nepal’s flag is the only non-rectangular national flag, Cambodia features Angkor Wat, and Brunei has a yellow field with a red crest.
