Correct—this is Myanmar. Adopted on 21 October 2010, the flag’s central white star symbolizes the union of the country’s diverse states; the three stripes stand for solidarity (yellow), peace and agriculture (green), and courage (red). Mnemonic: “MY-anmar, MY star”—the single white star helps distinguish it from the Koreas (Taeguk or a red star within bands) and the UAE’s pan-Arab tricolor with a vertical stripe. Formerly known as Burma, Myanmar is in Southeast Asia; the flag change reflected political shifts and a push for national unity and renewal.
