Correct: Netherlands. This historic tricolor is one of the world’s oldest, adopted by the Dutch Republic and standardized in the 17th century. To distinguish it from lookalikes: Belgium and Romania use vertical stripes, and Azerbaijan features a crescent and star. A common confusion is Luxembourg, whose blue is much lighter. Background and memory tip: The Dutch flag descends from the 16th‑century Prince’s Flag (orange–white–blue).
