About the flag
Correct because Nigeria’s flag is the simple vertical green–white–green tricolor with no emblem. The green stands for the country’s rich agriculture and forests, while the white represents peace and unity. It was designed by Michael Taiwo Akinkunmi, a student, and adopted at independence on 1 October 1960. To keep it straight from look-alikes: Algeria’s flag adds a red crescent and star; Botswana’s is blue with a black-and-white horizontal stripe; Guinea-Bissau uses red, yellow, and green with a black star. Memory tip: think “Naija = nature,” with two lush green bands flanking a calm path of white peace.
