About the flag

Correct: Thailand. The Thai flag, called Thong Trairong (“tricolor”), was adopted in 1917 by King Vajiravudh (Rama VI). Its red, white, and blue stand for the national triad: Nation (red), Religion—Theravada Buddhism (white), and Monarchy (blue). The prominent blue was added during World War I to echo the Allied colors. Memory tip: T for Thailand, T for Triad—three colors, three pillars: Nation–Religion–King. Thailand is also the only Southeast Asian country never colonized, and earlier flags featured a white elephant, a royal symbol, before the modern symmetric design made the national colors unmistakable.
